In celebration of the 20th Anniversary of the iconic album The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, Spotify wanted to create an experience that was worthy of the musician’s classic contribution to the musical lexicon.

Spotify asked their audience to submit love letters to Ms. Hill, giving fans and celebrities alike the opportunity to express her album’s impact on them. Alma envisioned a collaboration between world-renowned paper sculpture Jeff Nishinaka, overlaid with original projections from Lighting Director Brandon Epperson. A surreal classroom was erected in the middle of a large warehouse space in Brooklyn where guests were immersed in a flurry of fan letters suspended from the ceiling.
